Hey, I didn't just review mainstream bands that are "down with the kids", I sometimes get the smaller, more deserving bands contact me from time to time asking if I can review their latest album. I always encouraged such behaviour because a) I get an album for free that I wouldn't normally hear, and b) it gives bands greater exposure by letting other people know my opinions. There are just so many artists out there, so this page was dedicated to raising awareness of bands that you, the intelligent music fan (now I'm sucking up) have never heard of. Please visit their websites afterwards.

Note: I no longer accept album submissions - this page is archive only

* Music PR companies who provided the many albums over the years including QuiteGreat * Manilla PR * Avebury Records - thanks for suppling such a diverse range of styles. Although near the end of my reviewing days I was sent just about anything from ex-boyband members going it alone to softly sweet female soloists to bland and forgettable pop which I have stuffed to the back of my cupboard. I just wanted some quaility control! I grew disheartened with the whole process where it turned into a "job" which took up my evenings when I could have been doing something productive like drinking down the pub. It became a chore near the end and I had to stop despite the thrill of getting an artist I genuinely liked recognised through my review being used as publicity. I was even featured on the BBC website, which must mean something, somewhere.

* Thanks to the contributors who took the time to interview artists (below) and then give me their words to publish. Also, thanks to those who gave me their album reviews so they could be published on the Guest Reviewer Page - Out of all the people I've dealt with, Elizabeth Jacobsen has been the most prolific and even has her own page due to sheer volume of reviews submitted.

* Other sites who reviewed undiscovered artists (most notable being CoolNoise.co.uk * DareDevil.de * Rhythm and Booze) have either closed down or are not taking further submissions - it's quite bleak out there for new music. So I can't help you if you need publicity as all my peers have all gone.
